You know that feeling of being cozied up in your favorite chair, reading a good book, whisps of steam rising from your coffee or tea? If you’re lucky, there’s a purring cat in your lap, gentle rain outside, and a crackling fireplace.
That feeling is what Java Dragon Books is all about. There’s nothing quite like the magic of a good story. It takes you to new, unexpected places, often with tears and laughter along the way.
Creating that feeling for people is why I love writing and editing. But I also understand the average writer’s dilemma—every book needs professional editing to be its best, but many, many writers cannot afford the typical cost of book editing. My goal is to make editing possible even on a tight budget. Money shouldn’t be the gatekeeper for good stories getting into the hands of eager readers.

Your Editor, Anna
I’m a lifelong writer turned editor. Self-publishing a YA fantasy series in college gave me the opportunity to collaborate with lots of other indie authors, and I realized that’s what I wanted to do: not just write my own books, but help other writers with theirs.
After completing my bachelor’s degree in communications, I became a content writer and editor for a marketing agency. Then, in 2024, I started book editing as a subcontractor for another editor. Since then, I’ve been taking classes and poring over style guides and editing everything I can get my hands on. Now I’m thrilled to be stepping into my dream career as a freelance book editor.

Aside from “caffeine addict” and “bookwyrm,” you can categorize me as a proud crazy cat lady, wannabe artist, compulsive crafter, INFJ, hufflepuff, and cookie dough connoisseur. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my partner and our spoiled cats, where the beautiful scenery provides ample inspiration for enchanted forests filled with sprites and spirits.
